BELLS BEACH, Victoria/AUS (Wednesday, April 19, 2017) John John Florence (HAW) – Jordy Smith (ZAF) has won The Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, the third stop of the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour (CT). He defeated Caio Ibelli (BRA)in the 35 minute final. Competitors faced challenging six-to-eight foot waves (2 – 2.5 metre) at the Bells Bowl thought the day.
Caio Ibelli (BRA) had defeated John John Florence (HAW) in the first semi final while Smith had defeated tour rookie Ezekiel Lau (HAW) in the second. Florence retains the ratings lead.
